Hestia can be a bit of an enigma to those who don’t know her well- mainly because of her secretive nature. On the surface she is an intelligent and determined woman. Hestia has always drawn to knowledge, almost to a fault, as well as being a driven witch in general. In fact one could even say that she could have been sorted into Gryffindor for her selfless bravery and focused mind. She is also an empathetic personality that is open about her dislike of child/women abuse or other immoral behavior in likeness. Vanity doesn’t come easy for Hestia and instead she tends to focus on Human Nature rather than appearance. With this said, she is very observant and curious when it comes to people or situations. While she may not be outgoing Hestia wouldn’t describe herself as a loner either, instead she keeps a small group of trusted friends/family around her rather than a mass of acquaintances. Esti is extremely protective and loyal to her family- as well as to the Order. Finally, she is a hard worker who is seemingly trustworthy and obedient to all of her employers.

However, as I mentioned before, Hestia has always had a talent for secrets. For one she is not as loyal to the Ministry as most would believe but instead feeds any information she gathers from there to the Order. She has kept her parents whereabouts a secret even from Albus Dumbledore and can be quite ruthless if/when she feels that they might be in danger. Those close to her have come to know this about her but Hestia has an unforgiving temper. While she may not be prone to fits of rage, Hestia can be grudging and vengeful when crossed. She actually has a very good sense of humor though it is rarely seen due to the somber days of war. The most damaging secret that she keeps though is her addiction to drinking or her more wild behaviors. Hestia drinks rather excessively though she tends to cover it with breath fresheners and perfume. She also finds relief in indulging in controversial situations- such as a bi-sexual lifestyle, going to underground nightclubs, and making deals with unsavory characters for information or other desired goods.

Hestia has always been very close with her family. However for several years now she has kept them in a safe house that is secret even to the Order. So, I don’t image there would be a lot of plotting between the two- unless someone were to discover their location. As for friends, Hestia doesn’t have many. Of course she have a wide range of resources and acquaintances, but none of which she would trust enough to call her friend. However, Hestia would consider the members of the Order as her friends- mainly because one can only trust certain people with their life for so long before a bond begins to form. If Hestia were to broaden her circle of companions it is more likely that she would gravitate to more misunderstood souls and supporters of the Order’s cause.

Enemies on the other hand would come in abundance, if I had to guess. Given Hestia’s heritage, beliefs, and position in the Ministry she would likely to have crossed quite a few people in her time. Needless to say that most of her enemies would be Death Eaters or Dark Lord Supporters. Although, she also tends to be rather secretive- which might not be received well by those she interacts with. So there is a lot of room for drama and ideas in the adversary category!

Hestia doesn’t see much of a point in fall in love during a war, but she isn’t complete against the idea either. Mostly she has just indulged in passing flings and one night stands to fill any temporary void. She isn’t very outspoken about it but Hestia is bi-sexual and doesn’t really prefer one sex over the other. To her being with someone is more about who they are and less about what they look like or their gender. She does have some restrictions though- such as the other person being of legal age- but for the most part is rather open minded to potential partners.

Sirius&&Hestia

Well, this would probably be more of the relationship she had with Sirius before he changed his age and became young again. Either way, she was in the Order, and he was stuck in the headquarters being able to do nothing to help the Order. Hestia probably would get on Sirius for his verbal (if not the occasional physical) abuse towards Kreacher, but otherwise, I could see the two getting along. Sirius likes (and liked) to joke around, but he had the same sense of duty as Hestia does, and the two are both willing to risk their lives. Sirius isn't too great of a secret keeper in the future, but in his younger age, he's a pretty good secret keeper, kind of like Hestia. I see the two of them as friends probably, with her getting onto him for his bad behavior towards Kreacher.
